Ok, Thom Yorke. Let’s get something straight here—

NO…start again. I just caught an ad for the Grammys. I’m sure there’s an anti-Grammys rant on here. Who cares. I only caught it because I’m sick and miserable, and missing a show. Let’s not get into it. My rants boil down to one thing: prioritization. I see or hear someone putting what I feel is the wrong kind of importance to something. Right now, I’d rather be out at a show instead of writing about a stupid ad. If somebody was going to give me tickets to a show exchange for not writing about it…you can bet I’d take it. Never happened, but I don’t give writing much priority as far as choosing it over music. (Waitaminute…did that happen? Note to “the kids”: if “drinking” is high on your priorities list, ponder if it’s really more important than “talking in coherent sentences” and “remembering shit” later in life…but hey, everyone’s different.) Did I say this ad was stupid? Let’s go to the list:

  • Ad: well made, informative, non-annoying
  • Grammys: are…the Grammys
  • Thom Yorke: has his moments, no hate for the man
  • Song used in ad: newer ‘head I don’t have a lot of feeling either way for

Q: What is my fucking problem NOW?
A: “I saw the video for David Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes, that made me want to be a musician.”

Not the exact quote. I don’t doubt the statement…if you look at the music Radiohead makes the past few years, it makes absolute perfect sense. This is the problem. It makes TOO MUCH sense. And it brought up an issue that’s been in the back of my mind for years: my overuse of colons, AND:
